Nestled in the heart of the vibrant Krabi district, this halal establishment has quickly garnered a reputation for its authentic and mouthwatering culinary offerings, especially its famed biryani dishes.
Farida is not just a place to eat; it's a culinary experience that celebrates the rich flavors of traditional cuisine. As noted by customers, this charming eatery is renowned for its 100% halal biryani, particularly the goat and mutton variants, which have been a highlight for many visitors. One excited customer, AsrulSani Halim, enthusiastically recommends it as "the place" for biryani lovers. The tender meat, coupled with spices that dance on the palate, makes it a must-try for any food aficionado.
One of the standout features of Farida is its warm and welcoming atmosphere, managed by a dedicated team of women who bring their passion for food to each dish they serve. Reviews highlight the delightful mutton soup and beef soup, showcasing the diversity of flavors available on their menu. Food enthusiasts like Subhojit Saha rave about coming early, as the dishes tend to sell out quickly, a testament to their popularity.
The goat curry is notorious for its bold and peppery flavor, unique compared to other regional curries. Zackary Dunivin beautifully described it as slightly sweet with tender, bone-in meat, making it a delightful companion to the well-flavored biryani. For those wanting to elevate their meal, the fresh cucumber salad with slightly sweet vinegar adds a refreshing twist, while the chicken broth accompanied by perfectly cooked cucumber rounds out the experience.
To wash it all down, be sure to try their refreshing Thai tea, a perfect complement to the savory dishes. Diners also rave about the crispy, fresh roti, adding a satisfying crunch to the meal. Each dish reflects the careful craftsmanship and attention to detail that the staff pours into their culinary creations.
If you find yourself in Krabi, a visit to Farida Restaurant is not just recommended; it's essential for every food lover. If you are looking for 100% halal authentic biryani..this is the place. Not far from Krabi town. A goat/mutton biryanj is a must. Just waze Fareeda Goat Baryani if you are driving. Recommended from a Malaysia Tourist

What an amazing find. Thanks to Mark Weins and his recommendation. The place lives up to the hype. Amazing food. If you want biryani then come early because it finishes fast. The goat curry is mind blowing but remember it’s hot and spicy. If in Krabi please please eat here.

Best meal I had in changwat Krabi. Busy around noon but got a table without waiting. Goat curry was peppery with a spice blend very different from other Muslim curries I’ve had. Slightly sweet with tender bone-in meat. Biryani was equally well flavored and the dry stewed goat meat was perhaps even more satisfying than the meat suffused with curry. Fresh cucumber, slightly sweet vinegar cucumber salad, and chicken broth with perfectly cooked cucumber were a lovely companion, along with a cup of fresh goat’s milk. Friendly staff, stellar food
